Many River Barn couples choose my Early Half Day package, covering the ceremony and drinks reception, often adding music for guests' arrivals beforehand. Others extend the music into the wedding breakfast and room turnaround, allowing live piano to remain part of the celebration throughout the day.
My portable pianos are particularly well suited to weddings at The River Barn. Because they don't require amplification, they provide natural live piano music without relying on the venue's sound system, resulting in a more authentic live music sound. Having performed at The River Barn since its opening year, I know how to shape the music around the natural flow of the day, from welcoming guests as they arrive to the ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast, while ensuring the piano complements both the venue and the atmosphere you want to create.
The council's sound regulations make my portable baby grand pianos particularly well suited to The River Barn. Musicians who would normally require amplification are instead required to use the venue's highly compressed in-house sound system, whereas my pianos need no amplification. That allows you and your guests to enjoy a more authentic live music sound, with all the warmth and dynamics of a real piano performance.
Because they don't rely on the venue's sound system, my pianos can be positioned wherever they look and sound best rather than beside fixed audio input sockets. This gives you greater flexibility when planning both the ceremony and reception spaces.
If you're embracing The River Barn's rustic character, I also offer a unique wooden upright piano as an optional upgrade. Its natural finish sits beautifully within the barn, while my white and gloss-black baby grand pianos provide contemporary alternatives if you're looking for a different style.
