Welcome to Craig Smith Music's page for music lessons, including keyboard lessons, piano lessons, guitar lessons, drum lessons, flute lessons and saxophone lessons in Preston, Chorley, Leyland and surrounds. Craig himself has been established as the go-to man for personalised piano lessons or keyboard lessons in Preston, especially for modern styles, for several years. His training and CV in popular music are second to none in the area (see the biography page), and demand for his own tuition is always very high, often with a long waiting list.
The Craig Smith Music Tuition Agency was created because Craig's very popular private piano tuition practice became overwhelmed with demand. Craig Smith Music has effectively become a mobile music school in recent years, with several quality teachers on its books. We currently have several teachers with availability for music lessons in Preston and Central Lancashire, including piano tuition, keyboard tuition, drum tuition, flute tuition, and saxophone tuition.

Who will teach my lesson? [Top]
All of the teachers on our books are past students or associates of Craig, so we are sure that they meet our expectations both personally and as musicians and teachers before they're admitted onto our books.Although we try to ensure that all of the people who enquire about piano or keyboard lessons in Preston are taught by Craig, regrettably, the demand far outweighs the availability, so most are now passed on to other teachers who do have vacant tuition slots, such as Steph.
Steph followed in Craig's footsteps a few years ago, using her lessons with him to help achieve a coveted place at the world-renowned Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. She has now moved back to Preston where works as a piano tutor and keyboard tutor with the Craig Smith Music Tuition Agency alongside composition work for media and playing live at weddings and as a resident at a Merseyside bar. Steph's lessons can take place in their own home or from her own teaching space. Evening lessons are almost fully booked up now, but there is plenty of space on Saturdays.
Dan is available for piano lessons, keyboard lessons and guitar lessons in Preston and surrounding areas. His lessons can take place in Fulwood from his teaching space, or in your home. Dan's our newest and youngest teacher, at 18. He recently completed his ABRSM grade 8 piano, and intends to work as a musician following a music degree. Until May, Dan's offering a discounted fee of just £10.50 for 30min lessons at his home. Visit prices will vary dependent on location, but will be lower than our other teacher's visit fees.

For all of the details of our beginner drum lessons in Preston, also available through to advanced drum lessons (including more about session drummer and professional drum teacher Mark), see our drum lessons page.
All of our music teachers have to meet certain criteria before being formally accepted onto our books. These include, but aren't limited to, having high levels of ability on the instrument(s) to be taught, graded certifications in performance and theory of music, and suitable teaching space when they teach from home or a studio. They are also asked to provide a CRB disclosure.
