Craig Smith Music, run by freelance professional musician Craig Smith, operates throughout the North West. Craig provides session work and composition, and the business quickly grew to become one of, if not the, busiest privately-run providers of instrumental lessons in the region. Several teachers now teach various instruments through Craig Smith Music.
Our many happy students live as far afield as Merseyside, Greater Manchester, The Fylde and both the Yorkshire and Cumbrian borders. Some travel to Preston; others have Craig and the other teachers travel to their homes.
Craig gigs regularly across the country (recently supporting The Noisettes and Tinchy Stryder), and is a popular choice for couples booking wedding piano music. Craig is a 'dep' and session musician, and is also available for commission as a composer / arranger.
Craig trained at the acclaimed LIPA, co-founded by Sir Paul McCartney (from whom he received his BA Music degree, with first class honours). He received top-class tuition from renowned practitioners in record production, composition, arranging and both solo and ensemble performance.
A full-time musician, Craig works throughout the North West and nationwide on various projects. He is an associate of the VCM, and recently took over the role of representative for The North West Lancashire LCM exam centre in Preston. Anyone wishing to enter candidates for LCM exams in Preston, Kirkham, Blackpool etc should contact Craig.
