Welcome to Craig Smith Music's page for our music lessons including piano lessons and keyboard lessons in East Lancashire. The tuition agency was set up when Craig Smith's very popular private tuition practice became overwhelmed with demand from prospective students for his music lessons. In addition to Craig, we currently have Kim providing lessons in East Lancshire. Kim offers one-to-one and school piano lessons and keyboard lessons in East Lancashire. Keyboard lessons and piano lessons in Blackburn and Darwen are available with Craig, but his vacancies are limited to daytimes. We also cover lessons to the west of Blackburn, in areas such as Samlesbury, Hoghton and Mellor.

Which instruments do the teachers teach? [Top]
At present, the music teachers on our books in East Lancashire offer only piano lessons and keyboard lessons. We're working on finding the right people to offer other music lessons, such as guitar and drum lessons. It's likely that we'll have a drum teacher on board in the coming weeks.When and where do lessons take place? [Top]
Our piano lessons and keyboard lessons in Blackburn, Darwen, Whalley and surrounds take place on weekdays, both during the day and in the evening. The service is extremely popular, and high demand means there are now very few vacant slots left for our piano lessons and keyboard lessons in Blackburn and further east. Sarah, who spends Wednesdays teaching in and around Chorley.The other music teachers on our books teach from our bases in Preston, Blackpool, Salford and Merseyside, covering almost the entire North West.
Who will teach my lesson? [Top]
All of the teachers on our books are long-term associates of, Craig, meaning we are sure that they meet our expectations both personally and as musicians and teachers.Kim has covered the vast majority of the recent surge in demand for our piano lessons and keyboard lessons in Blackburn and Darwen, plus all the surrounding areas including Langho, Whalley and Clitheroe over the last year or so. Craig is available for lessons in Blackburn and Darwen, and Kim also teaches in Bolton. These lessons are available for beginners through to advanced players.
Kim's a qualified grade 8 pianist, currently finishing her Music Degree at Salford University after a couple of years out working in law, and recently sat her diploma in piano performance with the LCM. She's available as a piano teacher and a keyboard teacher, and after Craig is our busiest and most popular teacher.
Sarah, who is also working on a career as a professional music teacher, is primarily a flautist (flute player). Having achieved her grade 8 on flute, she went on to study music at Salford. She has experience in classical orchestral music and jazz flute, and has also played saxophone in big bands. Sarah teaches woodwind up to an advanced level. Sarah is a good pianist (always useful when working as a woodwind teacher), and also teaches intermediate and beginner piano lessons through Craig Smith Music. Her flute lessons, saxophone lessons and piano lessons are mainly available in and around Salford, but on Wednesdays she teaches in and around Chorley.
All of our music teachers have to meet certain criteria before being formally accepted onto our books. These include, but aren't limited to, having high levels of ability on the instrument(s) to be taught, graded certifications in performance and theory of music, and suitable teaching space when they teach from home or a studio. They are also asked to provide a CRB disclosure.
